A little bit of Sunshine...

... on a gray winters day!
Hello,
hope everyone is doing well!
But if you are like me,
you are sick and tired of this
winter weather by now!!!
Between rain, snow and arctic temperatures
we hardly had any sunshine lately.
So what better thing to do than
create a little bit of sunshine yourself, lol,
not the weather kind but the creative one.
A little bit of sunshine for all my
friends who celebrate a birthday
in those cold winter month,
hoping it will warm there heart
and bring a smile!

Center panels were cut with Cricut cartridge
"Art Philosophy".
Sentiment was stamped with Stampin'Up! set
"Watercolor Trio".
Love how the bright yellow color makes the card pop.
Flowers are made with punches and the little leaves are dies.

Silver corners are made with a Spellbinders die called "Flourishes".
 What do you think,
did I catch a little bit of sunshine with this card?

Well more snow in the forecast for the next two weeks,
but on the bright side that means
more time in the stamp-room, lol,
and for everyone else
hang in there
spring is only 50 days away!

Hope you have a sunshiny day,
thanks so much for stopping in!

A very Merry Thank You!

Hello
and welcome to the
first blog post of 2018!
Hope everyone had a good start to the
New Year.
We sure did, with frigid temperatures
  outside we were snug inside
and fell right asleep before midnight.
I know it doesn't sound like much fun
but it is all good,
we always open our bottle of
Champagne the next day and
have it with our traditional
New Years day meal
"Cabbage, Boudin and Black-Eyed Peas"
YUMMY!
And since the weather was so..o cold I also had some
extended playtime in my stamp-room
and all the "Very Merry Thank You" cards were made and mailed
before I had to go back to work on January 2nd.
The card was cut with the Spellbinder "Botanical Bliss" die set.
Holly leave is the Sizzix "Holly & Berries" die.
Sentiment from Stampin'Up! "From the Heart" set.
The background panel was dry embossed with Sizzix 3-D
Winter Snowflake folder.
I decided to reuse some of the elements
of the Christmas card and carry it over to the thank you card.
The snowflake embossing folder for the background,
holly leaves and colored card stock
are exactly the same in both cards.
My goal was to accomplish the feeling that they
belong together as a Holiday set and
I think it turned out fairly well,
what do you think?

And last but not least,
with a few days off and being stuck inside
I finished the "Star Baby Blanked".
This one is for a dear friends "First" Grand-baby
due to arrive in February.
Can you guess what they are having???
I love the color and yarn so much I will have
to make another one,
this one for our
"First" Grand-baby
due to arrive in March!!!
Well looks like 2018 will be an exciting year
with Grand-babies everywhere!

Hope your year will be filled with lot's of
excitement too but most of all
peace, health, happiness and lot's of
creativity!

Happy New Year
and
thank you so much for stopping By!
