The Luck of the Irish!

Hello everyone,
hope you all having a great weekend!
I been working on a little project for the last
two weeks,
playing with it, adding a little here and there,
shaping it to I thought it was perfection
and ready to share!
Here is my little Leprechaun treat box!
I had an idea in my head,
played with a few different size and shape boxes,
but it just didn't want to fall into place.
To one early morning, about 3 a.m.,
right, no sleepless night over this project,
I was laying in bed and remembered....
 ... I had this dye cut for a bag/caddy.
Perfect!
Of course I had to dress him up a little!
Shamrocks are a Martha Stewart punch.
Leprechaun hat, beard and bow tie were
cut with the Cricut "Paper Doll Dress Up" cartridge.
Well, I think my little Leprechaun is ready for his
St. Patrick's Day deliveries of gold nuggets,
chocolate gold nuggets that is!!!

A great week to you all,
thanks for stopping in
and
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy Hoops!

Happy Saturday to everyone!
AH, so glad the weekend is finally here!
Today I'm sharing a card my youngest son asked me to make
for one of his friends.
After getting the basic info out of him,
like, "What does he like?"
~Basketball~
"What team?"
~UK~
Mom went to work.
Digging through my stamp collection,
I couldn't quiet find what I wanted,
but remembering I had a sports Cricut cartridge,
Sports Mania, saved the day!

Yes, of corse, the colors had to be blue for
the University of Kentucky!
After I cut the hoop I added a piece of clear plastic
 (piece of old packaging)
to the back to make it look a bit more real.
My son was a happy customer and with
"WOW, Cool Mom and Thanks"
he went to his party!
And I'm a happy Mom, glad to be of service!!!

Look what joined my Snowdrops this week...
... sweet little purple Irises!
One by one, blooms and colors are slowly returning to our yard,
it feels so good  and I'm so ready for the gloomy days of winter to be OVER!

Enjoy your weekend everyone
and thanks for stopping in!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day
to all my
wonderful blog friends!
Hope your day is filled with lots of love
and
chocolate!
I will spread a little chocolate love on
Valentines Day,
with some gift bags,
to some special friends and co-workers!

Here they are all lined up and ready to get filled with...

... all kinds of chocolaty goodness!
The sweet little girl on the tag is from Stampin'Up's
"Greeting Card Kids" stamp set.
Sentiment from Stampin'Up's "You are Loved" set
and the hearts are punched with Martha Stewart
heart punches.
The silhouette was cut with the cricut
"A Child's Year" cartridge.

One more line up before they got packed up for...
... there special delivery!

And another special delivery, this one from mother nature.
I been keeping my eyes peeled for them finally to appear.
And last Thursday there they were!
My first Snowdrops!
The first blooms of the year,
I truly hope this means spring is right around the corner.

Thank you so much for stopping in!
Happy Valentines Day to you all!

Hugs

The Key to my Heart!

Happy Sunday everyone!
WOW, what a roller-coaster week!
Mother nature really had some wild weather
in store for us this past week.
From the upper 60's one day to Tornado warnings
and scrambling for cover to single digits and SNOW!
But I have to admit the white stuff looks pretty
and beats the tornado weather any day!
After living in Kentucky for over 15 years now,
I just can't get used to the wild and scary weather around here!
NO Tornados were I come from!!!
One good thing, the white stuff triggered a
"SNOW DAY",
no school, no work
and a blissful day in my stamp-room!

This Valentines Day door hanging
I call
"The Key To My Heart"
is made out of odds and ends I had laying around.
The hearts are cut with my Cricut and
the "Victorian Romance" cartridge.

Scraps and a leftover Cupid from an old project.
The stamp is a Michaels dollar stamp.
Love the dollar bins at Michaels,
I always find something in them!

Looks like I have to go back to work tomorrow,
no snow in the forecast,
it was nice as long as it lasted!

Thanks for stopping by
and
Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

Kind of, in a Pickle!

Or better, I was!
Oh yes, I did it again,
waiting to the last, and I mean the absolute last minute,
to get a Birthday card done.
Saturday morning 9 o'clock, no card
and the party is at 2.
My husbands suggestion
"Just buy one"!
My answer "I CAN'T DO THAT"!!!
It just feels wrong to me to give a store bought
card since I have been making my own!

Digging through my emergency stash,
nothing for a teenage girl:(
OK, "I CAN DO THIS",
find a quick and easy layout,
thank you 'Take Ten" magazine,
find the right paper and colors,
oh, and some cute stamps!

OH YES, I DID IT!!!
One and a half hours later, not to bad!
I think this was my fastest card ever.
The girl is a "Hero Arts" stamp,
background stamp from "Inkadinkado" and
the sentiment is a "Stampin'Up!" stamp.
One of my crocheted flowers atop a punched paper flower
and a sparkly brad for a little bling!
Well, I pulled this one off...
... to the next time...HiHi!
No to bad for a quick card,
what do you think?

Thanks for stopping in!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

It's a party!

"Grow your Blog!"

Hello everyone
and
welcome to my humble blog!
I always wanted to start a blog,
a place were I could share
all the little things I love to do,
but never had the courage to do so.
In a way I was afraid that I could not find the right words to say
or my little creations just weren't pretty or good enough to share with anyone!
But one day in May of 2011 I just sat down,
got all my courage together
and
"My Paper Daisy"
was born.
Yes, it was a labor of love, lots of pain
and a few not so nice words,
to the first post actually happened.
I learned in leaps and bounds
(still do)
but the best of all,
 along the way,
I met a lot of wonderful creative people who
keep inspiring me in a wonderful way!

This is were the magic happens!
I love this spot, sometimes I just sit there
looking out the window, DAYDREAMING!
For right now I took over what used to be our study...
... yes, I know, I need to get organized!
I promise its on my to do list for the new year!
Also my blog started out to be mostly about
my love to stamping, card-making and
paper-crafts...
... lately I also started sharing my
 little addiction with fiber.
Mostly knitting and crocheting, you never can have enough yarn!
This is my newest project,
a new scarf!
And ever now and then there will be a post
about all the beauty that surounds me!

Well, enough about me,
I think I will go blog hopping now!
Thanks for stopping in and
giving me the opportunity to share a little of my
creative life with you!
A special thanks to
Vicki
at
2 Bags Full
for hosting this wonderful event!

HAPPY BLOG HOPPING!

Love is in the Air!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
I can not believe we are already thinking about
"Valentines Day",
but it's right around the corner!
So what better thing to do on a rainy droopy weekend than
to create a pretty card.

Lettering, silhouette and large heart were cut from
"Victorian Romance" Cricut cartridge .
Small doily heart was cut from "Close to my Heart" Cricut cartridge and
for the banner and flowers I used paper scraps I had laying
around in the stamp room.
I have to admit, I'm having a hart time thowring
paper scraps away, so I'm always happy if I can use them
in a project.

Also a few days ago I struck gold at work!
One of our patrons was cleaning house and
decided to donated their old books and magazines
to our Library.
Items we do not keep go into book sale,
free item pin or sometimes just into recycling.
So you can imagine how happy I was when
this old "Sears, Roebuck Catalog"
was marked for discharge.
I was literally drooling and bouncing up and down at the same time!
This beauty was mine!
AHHHH.....
... the possibilities!
I think I will make some copes of the pages and
try my hands on image transfer!

Thanks for stopping in!
Hope you all have a great week!
