Pebbles and Shells!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and
a great start to the week!
I took some time this weekend and tried to salvage what's
left of my yard and flower beds.
The much cooler temperatures made yard work a breeze
and I was done in no time.
Maybe that there was hardly anything left
but cutting down dead stuff sped things up quiet a bit.
Even so Fall is definitely in the air I'm not ready
to let Summer go!

I bought this wooden $1.00 frame a wile back
and deco-paged it with old book pages,
but then I got stuck and it was put aside...
... to this weekend, when I came across a very old
children's book called "Pebbles and Shells".
Loved the illustrations in the book.
I also reused some of the text on the frame
and stamped some birds on it.
This is my mom and me on vacation on the seashore.

Well, what do you think?
Not to bad for my first altered photo frame?!
But I definitely need to get into the fall mode,
well, maybe next week ;)
Thanks for stopping by!
Diana

  4. Sweet frame...sometimes I leave things for a while too!

I've been busy in my garden too. 11 garbage waste bins of cut back perennials last week and again today! Tomorrow we are going back out to finish off the last of it.

I am so ready to downsize when DH retires...a big flower garden is a lot of work!

    1. Can you believe it's already the time of year to get the yard ready for winter?
It seems we just planted all of the pretty flowers and veggies yesterday.
Yes, it's a lot of work, especially this year, when keeping it alive during the heat-wave was a challenge.
Have fun playing in the yard and a great weekend!
