Hello
and
Happy Sunday to all of you!
Well, another rainy, miserable weekend
in the Ohio Valley.
I'm starting to wonder if we ever going to have Spring around here,
with snow in the forecast for tonight,
my guess is "NO".
I'm itching to go outside and get the garden started,
but it looks like it has to wait a while longer.
Since yard work is on hold I started a few new projects,
LoL, I know, I really needed another hobby.
Anyway, more on this at the end of the post,
but first I would like to share with you another
Spellbinder Birthday card.
"Opa's Birthday Card".
I made this card for my Dad's birthday in March.
Our kids call him "Opa" which means Grandpa in German.
Love the copper colored paper I found at Hobby Lobby.
A few rhinestones for a bit of sparkle.
I used Novembers and February's Spellbinders monthly die sets for the card.
I always have trouble making a masculine card, I prefer pastels, flowers and girly things.
but with using dies and metallic paper it has gotten a whole lot easier for me.
Last but not least here is my new adventure into the knitting pattern world.
A little while back I took a workshop with the amazing
Francoise Aroha Danoy
from Aroha Knits at "The Fiber Muse Circle"
just for fun and to see if I really had it in me to create my own knitting pattern.
Well, I'm still swatching and I did a lot of frogging
and a lot of cursing but with a lot of determination and
a few changes to the pattern I think I'm finally getting somewhere
with my design for my
"Estonian Spring Shawl".
What do you think?
What is your latest project?
Thank you so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a wonderful creative week!
To next time!
