Easter Blooms and Butterflies!

Hello
and
Happy Easter to everyone!
I know it's a bit early to wish everyone a
"Happy Easter"
but I wanted this blog post done before the
busy Easter weekend hits.
All the cards were mailed out and I hope they made it to
their destinations,
so with no further do here is this years
"Easter Blooms and Butterflies"
Easter card.
Sentiment from Stampin'Up! set "Heaven Blessed"
and
Girl with Easter basket is also from a Stampin'Up! set
called ""Easter Blooms".
 All flowers are punches.
The flower and butterfly back panel is a Momenta die.
The green frame around the Easter girls was cut with Cricut
cartridge "Lacy Labels".
Aww, pretty spring blooms and butterflies.

Well I hope you liked my little Easter card
and I hope you will come back for another visit!
Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you and your family
a blessed Easter!

Everything Baby...

...Baby Julia that is!
Hello
and happy weekend to y'all!
As some of you know ,
we were expecting our first Grand baby in March,
however Miss Julia had different plans
and made her appearance a bit early,
she was borne Feb. 27th,
 LOL,
I guess she was in a hurry to join our family.
So this Meemaw had to pick up pace
to get all those started baby projects done.
Sorry, lot's of pictures again.
The next 4 pictures were made from fabric
a friend gave to me and since I'm not a quilter,
I leave that to people who know what they are doing,
I decided to turn them into pictures.
The fabric was printed with 4 indefinite squares
which was perfect for this project.
I cut all panels to size and used spray adhesive
to fuse them onto white card stock.
Miss Julia's nursery has an Owl theme
so the print on the fabric
worked absolutely perfect
and they look so adorable.
This was an extra panel which I did not use for our
nursery but gave away as a gift.
And then Meemaw had another idea...
... spelling out her name in individual letter frames.
Each letter was cut with the Cricut machine and glued onto
pattern paper.
Letters are in dark purple and for the background I picked
different pink patterned paper.
I added some burlap flowers and pretty ribbon
to some of the frames.
 What do you think?
And last but not least,
I finally finished her Star Blanket.
I absolutely love this pattern and the finished blanket
makes a beautiful gift for any baby shower.
 Baby Star Blanket Pattern.
Thanks for making it to the end of this long post.
Being a Meemaw is very exiting!!!
Well, since I'm caught up on all the baby projects now
I better start working on my Easter blog post.

Thanks for stopping by,
have a wonderful weekend
and I hope I will see you for my next post
"Easter flowers and butterflyes"!

Bright Birthday Wishes!

Hello
and
Happy Weekend to y'all!
I apologize in advance,
this post is a bit picture heavy,
SORRY!
As always I had a hart time picking
which pictures to post,
so they all ended up on the blog, LoL.
Anyway, I was in a bit of a pickle last week,
realizing while turning the page of my
monthly birthday calendar,
I almost forgot a birthday in the first week of March.
I hate when I do this,
but with a bit of luck and
one of my favorite go to knitting projects
I got the gift done just in time!
"Fallmaschenloop" or I call it "Summer Shawl" in progress.
The pattern is quick and easy, a day or 2...
... and you end up with a soft and light weight shawl you can
wear well into the summer.
Sorry, the PATTERN is in German.
I used Loops & Threads yarn,
 Elegance in color Jewel.
But any yarn will do,
it really depends on your preferences.
Of course I had to fancy up the gift.
Bow made with my bow-maker.

And the matching gift bag in
different shades of yellow...
 ... for a
"Bright Birthday Wish".
I used the same Spellbinder dies as in the
I'm getting a bit hooked on making my own gift bags,
not a bad thing so, since I'm using most of my
scraps and odds and ends I have laying around on them.
I know all the tones of saved bits and pieces of
paper and ribbon were good
for something one day!
Are you a paper/ribbon hoarder too?

Thanks for stopping in,
I hope I got you inspired to create something
with your bits and pieces,
maybe a "Gift Bag"?
Have a wonderful creative weekend!
