Happy Holidays!

From our family to yours
a wonderful and
peaceful
HOLIDAY SEASON!

I added a few new snowmen
ornaments to our
Christmas tree this year.

Reindeer goodie bags for my
husbands co-workers.
Filled of course with yummy
Reindeer Poop!

Sadly it won't be a white Christmas for us this year,
but even so the kids are getting older
it is still the most magical time of the year.

Thanks for stopping by during this
busy Holiday Season!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A little bit of Steampunk!

Hi,
I hope everyone had a great week!
With the weather turning cooler
and yard work slowing down
I get a little bit more time
to spend in my stamp room.

My first Steampunk card.
I was about to rob my husbands tool box
but then I found some adorable
gears at Michaels which are just
perfect for using on cards.

Well, I hope everyone got inspired
and will try
a little Steampunk in there cards.
Thanks for stopping by and
have a great weekend!

Witching you...

... a very Happy Halloween!

Here are my Halloween creations.
I was dying to use this stamp
"If the broom fits, fly it",
I found it at a convention earlier this year.
The stamp and the broom treat bags
made a perfect match,
what do you think?

The Halloween card was made with
Stampin'up!
Haunting Halloween stamp set.
Well, I went a little overboard with the brooms,
actually I made 20 of them.
Hope the nice and good witches at
my husbands work like them

Odds and Ends!

Things been crazy around here lately.
My workplace is moving into a new building
and my youngest son is playing football
for the Middle School Traveling Squad.
Between moving and football
there has been hardly any time to play
in my stamp room.
But I found some time to get at
least two cards done.

This Vintage Archery Birthday Card was for
my youngest son's (girl) friend.
Both of them are archery enthusiasts and
shooting for their schools archery teams.

And this card is for a friend of mine
who is been laid up after knee surgery and
is has been using a walker to help her get around.
Hopefully not for much longer!
I hope she isn't getting to mad at me!?

Pinwheel Doily!

Hurray!
I finished the Doily last weekend.
Starched and ironed it
crowns the top of our
couch now!

Catching up!

Trying to catch up on some
unfinished projects.
Do you have some of
them laying around your house?
I do, quiet a few to be honest!
I started this crochet doily
a very very long time ago.
Well lets keep your fingers crossed,
my goal is to finish it this weekend :)

Wedding Wishes!

Something old,
something new,
something borrowed,
something blue,
wedding wishes
just for you!
Old lace, blue rhinestones and
a hand sewn flower
for this vintage looking card.

A Little Weekend Project!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend?
With the weather a little on the iffy side we decided
to just skip yard-work today.
The guys went to the County Fair
and I stayed home to play
with my new die cut.
This little bird is Sizzix's Score Board Die by Eileen Hull.
I deco-paged him with old book pages,
added some crackle paint and lace.
You can't really see it but he sits on an old vine cork.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Bonjour de Paris!

"Bonjour de Paris!"
is a mixed media project
I been working on for awhile.
I deco-paged the front of an
old composition notebook with
old book pages
and then just added odd and ends.
Stamped images, embellishments,
die-cut Eiffel Tower and lace.

I also added this puzzle piece.
Just deco-page old book pages onto
your puzzle piece, stamp sentiment and
decorate.
VOILA!
A gorgeous eye candy!

Life's to short!

This easel card was so much fun to make.
I used the girlfriends stamp (Shoppers front) from
Art Impressions and the sentiment
"Life's to short to act normal!" also
from Art Impressions.
"The best is yet to be" was a Stampin'Up! stamp.
For the license plate I just added a Happy Birthday.

Aren't the girls just adorable?

Pink Unicorn!

A pink Unicorn Mailbox for a little Princess.
The Unicorn, Cricut cartridge "Paper Doll Dress Up".

On the card I dry embossed the Unicorn to give
it some texture.
I also added a paper doily for a little vintage look.

Don't they look great together?
Oh, and I added some rhinestones for a
little bling.

Stormy Tuesday!

What a stormy Tuesday in Kentucky.
Riding home from work in a thunderstorm,
heavy rain and high water was no fun at all.
Well since there are no ball games to rush off to tonight
I give you all a peek into the room
were all the creativity happens.
Kind of, since I don't have everything in one place.
My Cricut has to live in the basement and odds and ends
are spread out through the house, for now,
to I get a room of my own.
As for now, the Study is the Daisy's home!

Sorry, tiding up is more like stacking things on top of
one another.

My trusty helper "Buddy".
He loves to snooze on my desk.
My favorite spot too!

Hello Baby!

Happy 4th of July to everyone!
Hope you all had a great and safe Holiday weekend!
Well I'm looking forward to a week off, trying to catch up
on some things I should have done a long time ago,
and just enjoying not having to go to work.

"Hello Baby"
is a little gift set I made for my husbands co-worker
who will be a new grandma any day now.
The little tin mailbox (Oriental trading) nicely decorated
makes the perfect gift container.
The vintage baby carriage (Hampton Art) I found at
Michael's the other day, I just needed to have it.
And yes, with all the blue, you guessed right
"It's a BOY"
Congratulations to the proud
GRANDMA!

Wonderful Saturday!

Look what my wonderful neighbor brought over!
"Early Peaches"
They looked so pretty I had to take a picture of them.
And believe me they were yummy too!

In full bloom!

Our garden just took off the last few weeks.
It's such a joy to
stroll around and
see what's popping up.
What's your
favorite flower?
I can't make up my mind,
I think I like them all!

Vintage Father's Day Cards!

Just a few more vintage Father's Day cards
for the sports enthusiastic Dad.
I just love working with old photographs,
they give the cards a certain flair.
What do you think?

Around the yard!

All around the yard things are growing.
Our baby birds in the Witch-hazel tree
getting bigger every day
and
the veggie patch is finally taking off.
What a miracle, after all the rain we had the last few weeks.

The Daisy got PUBLISHED!

What an amazing surprise I found in my mailbox this week.
Yes and I did the jig all the way to my front door.
The kids got a little embarrassed
and thought their mom lost it.
But I was and still am on cloud 9!
One of my cards got published in
the Jun/Jul 2011 issue of
"Stampers' Sampler",
a Stampington & Company publication.
If you have the magazine I'm on page 65,
the card is called "Bloom".
Isn't it exiting?

Happy Father's Day!

Another vintage card,
this one is for my Dad on
Father's Day.
I just recently started using old
vintage photographs in my cards.
After printing them I age them with
sandpaper and ink to make them look more authentic.

The Vintage Collection!

What a busy time it's been!
Crazy at work with our upcoming move
in to our new building, yard and ball season starting,
it's been insane.
I hardly had any time to blog.
Sorry everyone!
But I managed to be a little creative.

This was my Mothers Day Card for my Mom this year.
I tried something new, stamping on material,
it worked out very well.

This Birthday Card was for my son's girlfriend,
she loves taking photographs and is studying
to become a professional photographer.
I did some sewing with my little Singer Pixie on this card
and I really like how a few stitches can set of a card
to a very artful creation.

The Luck of the Irish!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Put on your lucky green and be Irish for a day!
And don't forget to send some luck to your friends,
after all on St. Patrick's Day we all are Irish!

Spring is in the Air!

Color finally returning to our yard after the gray days of winter. What a great feeling. Can't wait for warmer weather, to get outside and get my veggie patch started.

Cut and Curl!

Do you have a Beautician who is
truly a Magician?
Mine is and looks like the little critter
on this card is doing a great job to.
I found this adorable House Mouse stamp
on ebay a while back.
Aren't they the cutest.

Thanks for looking!

Just fitting...

A fabulous card for all occasions.
Stamps are from Stampin'up "Chic Boutique" set.
Add some lace and other accent pieces and wola.
Magnificent!

Gifts from the Heart!

What a busy week!
We actually made it
through a whole week without missing a day
because of snow and ice.
But I thought this week would never end.
Weekends are to short, before you know it's Monday morning,
back to work and another crazy workweek in front of me.

Well, just wanted to share a few more Valentines goody bags with you all.
Hope you like them!
