The Lady in Purple!

Hello
and
Happy Sunday to you all!
Hard to believe the first month of
this year is almost over
and February is right around the corner!
February also brings most of the
great Birthdays in our family.
5 to be exact,
so I been quiet busy making cards
for everyone's special day.
Here is the card I sent my Mama and
my wonderful great-aunt who is turning
"85" years young in February.
"The Lady in Purple" easel card.

"Vintage Lady" stamp from Inkadinkado.
 A bit of bling!
I went on a bit of a Cricut cartridge shopping spree
in December/January, just could not pass up a great sale
and acquired a few Anna Griffin cartridges.
The pretty layered border was cut with
"Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments' cartridge.
It took a bit of playing to get the size right but
I think it turned out quiet well.
Layered label cut with "Lacy Labels" Cricut cartridge.
 2 punched purple paper flowers.
A very special Birthday card for the
two wonderful loving Lady's in my life!

"Happy Birthday to You"

Hope you enjoyed the card!
And if your birthday is in February
"A very Happy Birthday to you Too".

Wishing you all a great weekend
and
a fabulous week!

A bit of Yarn Play!

Hello and
Happy Monday to you all!

Hope everyone had a great weekend
and a good start to the week,
and maybe you are lucky like me and are
getting an extra day off for
Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Since it is a little chilly outside I thought I would
share my newest warm knitting creations with you.
Fluffy warm cowls,
definitely come in handy around this time of year.
Crux Cowl knit with Red Heart Boutique,
Unforgettable in color Meadow.
You can find the pattern in the book
"Knockout Knits" by Laura Nelkin.
Remember the easy lace cowl I started a while back,
yes, it's finished.
"Easy Lace Cowl" was knit with cherry color JitterBug yarn.
 Ah, another Isaac Mizrahi cowl.
Just love his yarn and the beautiful colors.
This is Premier yarn, University in color Pratt.
Sorry, the picture does not show
the pattern very well,
but it is a very easy lacy mesh pattern
I got from my Mom.

Pattern:
Cast on 152 sts.
Place stitch marker and join to begin knitting in the round.
Rd. 1 : knit
Rd. 2 : *k1, yo, sl1 knit-wise, k1, psso*, repeat from *.
Repeat Rd. 1 and 2.
Pattern stitches will lean to the left.
I used 1 skein of Premier yarn one this one but
I think it would look better being wider!
Happy knitting!

Thanks for stopping in,
hope I got you inspired to pick up your needles and
start a new knitting project!

Have a wonderful week!

Hello 2016!

Happy New Year
to all my Blog friends
and
thank you so much for sticking with me
through out the year,
the ups and downs
and all my wild creations!
Thank you, I appreciate all of you
more then you can imagine!

With the Holidays behind us,
and a few days off,
I'm enjoying a little quiet time.
Reading, knitting and
Stamp-room time!
"Thank you" cards for all the beautiful gifts
I received were on the agenda
and I think I found the perfect stamp
to bring a smile to everyone!
Aren't they adorable?
 House Mouse stamp
"Bow Tied".

Maxwell, Monica and Amanda sending a heartfelt
"Thank you".
 Sentiment from Fiskars "Celebrate".
 Mousy cuteness!
Sorry, I think I went a little overboard with the
picture taking,
still trying to figure out the camera and all the
fancy settings!

Thank you for taking time and
stopping by!
Wishing you all a wonderful start to the
New Year
2016!
