Little crocheted gifts!

Hello
and
Happy Sunday to y'all!
Sorry I meant to post pictures of my
travel adventure today but as always I
got sidetracked with a few other projects and
haven't quiet mastered to sort
through all the pictures I took!
Also still trying to get used to some new software
on my computer, which frustrates me more then I can tell!
But besides fighting with technology I got some
small gifts done for family and friends.
This adorable crochet "Spiral Beanie"
also called "Divine Hat" is a gift for our
sweet Auntie in Louisiana.
I found two patterns, the one I used came from Ravelry
the other from Logenberry Handmade is very similar,
both are very easy to crochet.
I used 1 skein Lion Brand "Heartland" in Hot Springs.
And yes I had to add a flower pin to fancy it up!
Kind of hate to let the hat go, the longer I look at it
the more I fall in love with the purple beauty!
I guess I just have to make another one for myself!

My other little project was a home warming gift
for a co-worker who is moving
into her first apartment.
So exited for her!
 Crochet coasters in different colors.
I used "I Love this Cotton" yarn but any yarn will do.
Coaster pattern.
Adorned with a little hand stamped tag...
... added some kitchen utensils, dish towels,
all put in a large measuring cup,
wrapped up pretty
and ready for delivery!

Thank you so much for stopping by
hope you seen a project you liked
and want to try!
Have a wonderful week
and happy crafting!
To next time!

Happy New Year!

Hello
and
Happy New Year to everyone!
Hope you had a great start to the new Year,
for us it was a bit crazy,
but that's a story for another post,
just a little hint,
it involves a surprise visit,
a DITY move
and
a 1440 mile road trip.
I only can say the old year ended and
the  new year started with a
wonderful adventure!
I promise I will share pictures at my next post!

Today I would like to share a little
"Thank you card"
I made for all my wonderful friends
and family,
to thank them for all their pretty
Christmas gifts!
This little snowflake card was super easy
and fast to make!
Snowflake is a Sizzix die cut and I added a rhinestone for some sparkle.
The snowflake embossing folder came from Stampin'Up!
The little banner pieces add a bit of color
to the snowy card.
A snowy thank you to everyone!

And before I went of on my crazy adventure
I finished another Messy Bun Hat.
I used 1 skein of Red Heart Unforgettable Yarn.
This is how the finished top looks, crocheted around the hair elastic.
with the pretty button is actually a removable pin I made.
Another beauty finished!

Looking back on 2016, it was a crazy busy year for our family,
lots of changes, some good some we had to adjust to,
empty nesting is not quiet as fun as I thought it was,
adding Army Mom to my Army spouse title filled me with
immense pride but also new worries,
I cry a bit more now those days,
("I be home for Christmas" made me bawl like a baby because
I know our soldier probably was not coming home for Christmas)
   so yes,
2016 was a mixed bag of ups and downs,
and I'm really  looking forward to see
what adventures 2017 has in store for us,
"Yes" I have a lot of good intentions and
new years resolutions,
but I think this year I will go a bit more with
the flow and "not" stress so much over things
I can not change anyways!

With this I wound like to thank everyone
who is been visiting my little blog
for all your support,
the sweet comments you leave
and all the inspiration!
Thank you!
I hope the new year will bring
you and your family
everything you hope and dream for!

Happy New Year!
