Peace, Love and Joy!

Hello everyone
and sorry,
I know it has been a while since I last wrote
but all is well and I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things
and give my little neglected bog a bit more attention in the new year.
But to my excuse I have been busy crafting for Christmas
and if you follow me on Instagram you probably know
what I have been up to while absent from blog world.

Today I would like to share with you the two different cards I made for
this years Christmas.
The first one is called "Peace-Love-Joy".
 Card was made with:
Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace-Die of the Month, DOMAPG-Nov18, for the large frame,
Spellbinders APG Reindeer Prance Layering set, S4-1005 and the
Magnolia Doohickeys, Spruce, DOOH-SCD11, for the little trees.

Snowflake was cut with the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month, DOM-NOV19,
Kaleidoscope Snowflake.

Sentiment was stamped with Papertreyink stamp set #2424, stylish sentiments: Holiday.
What do you think?
Red or blue, which one is your favorite?

And the second card I made is called
"Naughty or Nice", lol,
a lot of giggles went into this one!
Reindeer was cut with Spellbinders Large Die of the Month, DOML-NOV19,
Santa's Helpers and Spellbinders die, Santa's Reindeer, S3-396.
Sentiment was made with the Spellbinders Glimmer Kit of the Month, GOM-NOV19.
Envelope was stamped with the TPC Studio stamp set
 "Christmas Expressions"
and the sentiment on the inside of the card is a
Spellbinders Fun Stampers Journey stamp set called
 "Tinsel Tangle", AT-0357.
May I ask!?
Did you make the nice list?

Glad you stopped by
and sorry again for the delayed posting,
I promise I will do better,
at least that is one of my New Years resolutions!!!
From the bottom of  my heart
""Thank you So Much""
for supporting my humble little blog
and as this year is drawing to an end
I would like to wish everyone a
very Happy New Year,
may 2020 bring you joy, happiness
and good fortune!

Thank you
and have a wonderful day!

Happy Haunting!

Hello everyone
and
welcome to the first blog post in quiet a while.
No I haven't giving up on being crafty, blogging
and social media, I just needed a bit of time of to concentrate on my
mental and physical health and step away from all the craziness
going on in the crafts world and social media.
So with that said I'm back and
I have a few treats
for you today,
one is a new Halloween card and as some of you
know around this time of year I'm a bit obsessed with
knitting and crocheting pumpkins.
Have fun looking around,
sorry the post is a bit picture heavy.
 My 2019 Halloween card.
Stamp is a Tim Holtz--Stampers Anonymous stamp set
called Halloween Cutouts--HC018.
Frame was cut with the Cricut cartridge "Happy Haunting"
and
the tree came from the Cricut cartridge " Chic & Scary".
Pumpkins are Martha Stewart punches and all the leaves
are cut with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Thinlits--660955.
A bit of cheese cloth for a spooky effect.

 What do you think?
Is it spooky enough for little ghosts and goblins?
Last but not least a few pictures of my pumpkins.
This one I crocheted with velvet yarn and he is super soft.
My favorite one so far, love the cable pattern.
 A little touch of sparkle.
Hope I didn't go overboard with all the pictures?
Fall is one of my favorite seasons,
not just because of Halloween but mostly because of the absolute
amazing colors mother nature likes to show off,
look around, you can get a lot of inspiration from the beauty of nature.

Wishing you a safe and
Happy Halloween!
Thank you so much for stopping in!
To next time!

The Sun, the Sea and the Little Mermaid!

Hello
and happy weekend to you all!
I'm hoping you are staying cool and safe
with temperatures reaching the triple digits this weekend.
For me the best way to escape the heat is a trip to the lake,
my little quiet place, just 10 minutes from the house,
and the reason I been a bit absent from
social media and my little blog.
Sorry everyone but I decided to take up Kayaking this year
and I'm in love,
I promise I will get better in posting as soon as the weather turns cooler!
But with that said, all the time spend on the water
inspired me to make a
Little Mermaid card.
It has been a while I used the Cricut machine but
I found the most adorable little Mermaid on the
"Life is a Beach" cartridge which was just perfect for this project.
The size of the Mermaid depends on the size of your card,
I cut mine at 4.5 inches for a small card and decided to paint
the Mermaid tail with glitter paint for a bit of sparkle.

Plant was cut with Spellbinders Die of the Month, Month 7, DOM-007
and the little seashell was cut with the Recollection cut and emboss die, 542693.
So what do you all think,
ready to escape to the lake and
find some relief from the heat?
Sadly no, I have not seen a Mermaid yet,
but one can hope and dream!

Thanks for stopping in,
have a wonderful weekend,
stay safe in the heat!
To next time!

Friends Forever!

Hello
and
Happy Sunshiny Sunday to all!
Well sunshiny for a few hours at least,
already can hear the next round of thunderstorms moving in:(
So I decided to snap the pictures outside with the card propped up
in one of my flower boxes right quick
before the next torrential downpour.
It's becoming a sad little story around here,
hoping for a better start to summer after the wettest spring on record.
But with that said and nothing we can do about the weather
I would like to show you one of my latest creations
"Friends Forever"
a Birthday card I made for my best friend.
The outer frame was cut with the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace
Die of the Month November, DOMAPG-NOV18,
which is actually a Christmas set, however it is a perfect matches to the
Spellbinders Layered Friends Forever Cafe Scene, S4-983.
For the  flowers and leaves I used the Spellbinders Die of the Month--Month 7--DOM-007
and a variety of different size flower punches.
Frame was cut twice and layered with foam pieces in between. the layers.

 Love using gold foil paper.
Sometimes in life you meet a person who is like a sister to you,
I'm fortunate enough to have such a wonderful sweet person in my life.
Happy Birthday sweet friend!

Thank so much for stopping by,
hope you have a wonderful creative week,
to next time!!!

Card Variations!

Hello all
and
happy weekend to you!
I been playing with some different layouts recently,
and if you think the cards look somewhat familiar,
you are right,
I used the same dies for a more masculine card a few month back.
But since I'm a girly girl I love to add flowers to my cards whenever I get a chance.
And since I could not come up with a good title for this post
I just named it
"Card Variations".

Large silver foil panel was cut with the Spellbinders die
Fleur De Square, S6-114
and the pink and cream doily was cut with
Spellbinders die Special Day Frame, S5-374.
Many thanks is a combination of Spellbinders Small and Large Die of the Month
December, DOM-DEC18 and DOML-DEC18.
Birthday wishes was cut with Spellbinders Small Die of the Month December, DOML-DEC18.
I have to admit this little floral die set has been my favorite over the
last few month and I have used it quiet often in almost every card I made.
In combination with different flower punches it makes the most beautiful flowers.
Spellbinders Die of the Month, Month 7. DOM-007.
I always try to match my handmade flowers with the flowers on the floral paper.
What to you think, did I do a good job?
Thank you so much for stopping by!
I hope you liked what you seen and
I gave you a little inspiration to create some
beautiful cards of your own.
Have a wonderful creative week!
To next time!

Father!

Hello everyone!
I'm hoping you all having a great weekend so far.
Believe it or not, I think we are finally getting out of this cold and
rainy weather and heading  toward summer, lol,
I'm not complaining, ready for the great outdoors!!!

Today I would like to share my Father's Day card with you all.
I know a bit early, however Father's Day or Vatertag
in Germany is celebrated on May 30th.
So my card got popped in the mail on Friday and with
a bit of luck it will make it in time.
I decided to use different shades  of blue for this card with
the main frame cut from white cardstock.
Frames are cut with Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month
DOMAPG-MAY19
and then layered.
Flower is a layer of different punched and die cut peddles.
The large peddles and stems are cut with Spellbinders Die of the Month-Month 7.
Sentiment was stamped with Paper Inspiration stamp "Father Calligraphy" - G10093.

I hope you liked this little early inspiration for a
Father's Day card.
And just in case you were wondering,
NO my husband only gets to celebrate one Father's Day
and that's the American one,
lol, that gives me a little more time to make another card.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
have a wonderful week!
To next time!

Because I Love you Mom!

Hello everyone!
I hope you all enjoying your weekend!
Sadly it's been another wet one around here
but it looks like the sun has finally decided to come out and
hopefully is drying up the muddy yard a bit.
So while I'm waiting for the sun to do her job
I decided to share with you my newest card,
"Because I Love you Mom",
my Mother's Day card for my Mom.
Large gold foil background doily was cut with Spellbinders "Special Day Frame",
S5-374 by Marisa Job.
Flower and leaves are a layer of different flower peddles cut with
Spellbinders Die of the Month DOM-007 and
a combination of punches.
Medium white doily was cut with the Spellbinders "Brillante Rondelle"
set by Amazing Paper Grace.
On top of the medium doily I layered a gold and a white frame,
both cut with the "Special Day Frame" die.
The sentiment was stamped with Studio G stamp set " Best Mom", IC0110.
A special card for a special Mom!
I really love this layout and I think I will reuse it
for a few  Birthday card I need to make.

I hope you enjoyed looking around,
please come back often!
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful week!

Spring Greetings and Happy Easter!

Hello everyone
and
Happy Easter weekend to all of you!
Sorry it's been a while I posted but
I decided to go visit my parents in Germany for a bit
and just now getting back to my normal routine!
I been playing catch up all week,
my yard turned into a jungle while I was gone
and if it ever would stop raining, I actually could get
things finished up so we can hide those Easter eggs outside.
But despite all the craziness around here I had a good visit and
I promise I will post pictures soon as I get caught up with things.
A few weeks before I left for Germany I decided to go ahead
and make my springy Easter cards figuring
I would not get them done after I came back.
I'm glad I did!!!
I used the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month February
DOM-FEB19
to cut the floral panel and the sentiment.
Love using foil paper for some of the elements,
I think it makes a card pop just a bit more.
The Easter Bunny panel was stamped with the  Stampendous Q194 Easter Elements stamp.
A few rhinestones for some sparkle.
Well it looks like the only springy thing around here will be the
Easter card, it's still raining and we expecting a few wet snowflakes overnight, LoL,
that's Spring in the Ohio Valley for you!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Wishing you all a sweet Easter!
See you all soon!

Birthday Wishes!

Hello
and Happy Weekend to you all!
We made it through another week of crazy March weather in Kentucky.
More tree limps down, more yard clean up to do!
But on the bright side, the daffodils are blooming,
so I'm hoping spring is right around the corner!
March is also the birthday month of our oldest son,
so I had to put my usual girly frilly side of card making away and
come up with a more masculine card design.
Say hello to
"Birthday Wishes" .
I wasn't sure about the foil paper color silver or copper but
after making both, I think I liked the silver the best.
What do you think?
Silver back panel was cut with Spellbinders die set "Rouge Royale Deux" --S6-114.
doily was cut with Spellbinders "Special Day Frame"--S5-374
and "Birthday Withes" is Spellbinders Small Die of the Month December --DOM-DEC18.

This was a very plain and simple card, which I think turned out
fairly well and YES I had a hart time not to add any frilly flowery things, LoL.
Thank you for stopping by,
hope you have a wonderful week!
To next time!
