Hello Autumn, Goodbye Summer!

Hello everyone 

and welcome to the first post in 

"Autumn"!

Time is flying and

I'm not quiet ready to letting summer go,

holding on to every sunny warm day,

shorts and flip-flops,

just a little while longer.

Still working with summer yarns and 

bright colors for my cowls,

hoping cooler weather stays at bay!

 This is a new pattern I found on Pinterest

called "Forest Glade Cowl",

super easy and fast to knit.

 Knitted with "Elegance" by "Loops & Threads".

This yarn is so soft and great to knit.

 Another "Forest Glade Cowl" 

this time with "Cotton Fair" by "Premier Yarns".

 Shiny black cowl knit with "Patons Metallic" yarn.

 But just in case the weather should turn cooler

I started my first winter cowl .

Almost finished.

Playing with a Vintage Car!

Hello everyone

and

"Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Sure enjoying an extra day off,

I hope you all do too!

But I have to admit, WoW, it's hot outside

and I been hiding out inside in my cool,

air-conditioned stamp room.

I'm not complaining,

loving every minute of it!!!

Well, I been playing with some different layouts

for some vintage inspired masculine cards

and here are the three results.

 Love this vintage Pickup Truck.

 Vintage car stamps from Tim Holtz "The Journey" set.

 A little burlap and a little sparkle.

One stamp set, three different ways.

No I have not gone to the dogs,

but I sure had a dog gone good time

making this little gift set for a sweet friend

who just adopted a beautiful rescue dog from the

"Paws in Prison" 

program in her home state of Arkansas!

Front Porch Sitting!

Hello everyone

and welcome to my Front Porch!

I apologize in advance,

"Sorry" no card in this short post!

 The weather is been just to nice to 

be inside in my stamp-room.

So I moved to our front porch,

the perfect spot for

reading, knitting or just sitting (daydreaming)!

 I started this beautiful fall colored cowl last night.

Yarn is Loops & Threads - Elegance.

 And if you like yarn, knitting and murder,

here is one of my favorite "A Knitting Mystery" series

by Maggie Sefton.

"Purl up and Die" is the latest in her series.

Sorry, another scarf,

I hope you are not getting tired looking at them.

Found this beautiful red sparkling yarn 

(Loops & Threads - Payette)

at Michaels.

I made this one for a friend who is a

Louisville Cardinal fan!

Lazy Summer Days!

Hello

and 

Happy Sunday to you all!

First I would like to say 

"Thanks you"

to all of you who came to visit during the

"Where Bloggers Create"

blog party!

Thanks for all your sweet and kind comments,

they mean the world to me!

"Lazy Summer Days", 

they have finally arrived after all the rain

of the last few month.

Enjoying every minute I can spend outside,

watching the Butterflies, Hummingbirds

and Bees buzz by.

So what better opportunity to create a

summer inspired card.

Sweet Honey Bees!

 Sun shiny yellow flower.

 Bees and background flowers are from Stampin'Up! set

"In Full Bloom".
Bee hive was cut with Cricut cartridge "Sentimentals".

 Hope this weeks card brought a little sunshine into your day!

I would like to finish this post with a few pictures of my summer flowers.

 My old strawberry bed converted into a wildflower bed.

 Can you see the Hummingbird?

Our Mimosa tree had a hart time this winter

but bounced back fairly well.

I wished you could smell the sweet fragrants which fills the air

and at times it seams like the tree has wings with all

the pretty Butterflies and Hummingbirds buzzing 

around the sweet blooms!

Before I let you go to take a peek into my 

little creative space I would like to

"My Paper Daisy".

I moved into this room about 2 years ago 

and

made it my own.

It's still a work in progress and

I haven't quiet handled the storage issues yet

but it's my little sanctuary, a place I can escape to!

 Lots of photo boxes for easy storage.

 My favorite spot in the room,

my little desk with a view of our backyard.

Love the sunshine coming in. 

 Old shutters.

 Love displaying some of my favorite cards all over the room.

My other addiction,

knitting and crocheting.

Well, it's my dark and messy secret

or better my tub collection holding all my goodies.
