OH so running behind... but catching up slowly!

Hello everyone!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
We sure did, the sun is out
and it is in the upper 80's.
With the weather finally getting better
we are playing the catchup game in the yard.
Boy, it feels so good getting out and getting things done!!!
Yep, flower boxes planted and hung
 and yes, HURRAY,
your veggie patch got finally done too.
I was really stressing about it,
we had the plants on the front porch for weeks
but weather and baseball seemed like to interfere
with the planting process.

Sorry everyone,
baseball is also keeping me from blogging here lately.
This was actually my my "Mother's Day" card
I meant to post last week.
Sorry!!!
But since the card works for any occasion not just for
"Mother's Day" I decided to post it anyway!
The frame and flower girl was cut with
Cricut cartridge "Fancy frames" and "A Child's Year".
One of my crocheted flowers and a piece of old vintage lace
adorn the card.
Sheet note paper was a page from an old children's song book
I had laying around.
I think it also would make a beautiful Wedding card,
what do you think?

Remember the wreathe on my front door?
Well, a Robin decided to build a nest on it!
 Right on top!
Mama Robin sure took over our front door,
and it gets a little hairy especially at night,
when we forget about our watch bird,
she sure can scare the ... out of you in the dark!
Not only that, she also has the habit to bomb you.
So far the recipient of the lucky load is always
 been our youngest son.
We always get a good laugh out of it,
he on the contrary thinks it's not funny at all!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you all have a great week!
Diana

  1. Diana,
    The card is lovely!
Thanks for stopping by my "first layout page" post. Yes, it is very colorful indeed. It was a lot of fun trying out something new.
Yup, those mother robins sure do build their nests in the strangest places sometimes, and they can be very protective for sure. A robin built a nest inside the little roof cover just over the door to our office, each and every time I forgot it was there and she would scare me to death as I did her I am sure.
    Have a wonderful holiday weekend.

  3. It sounds like you've been quite busy, Diana! I remember those years of Little League and trying to watch two kids play at the same time {in different games!}. Luckily, it was the same place, just different fields. Your card looks so pretty. Love the silhouette. I'm waiting for my son-in-law to hang their window boxes and then I'm going to help my daughter plant them up.

  4. Ok...LOVE...I also love using old vintage things and repurposing them on my cards. Love the children's song book page here! This is just brilliant! How funny that a robin's nest is on your front door wreath. My sister-in-law just found one on their ladder. Nature is marvelous!

  8. It is certainly a gorgeous card and would suit wedding or Mothers Day. Love the look of the vintage child. I have a cricut but have never used it on my own..only 2 times when a fried was over and she did all the work...I think I am afraid of it!

The bird nest is fabulous...your poor son but still it is really amazing that you get to see nature up close!

Not sure if it is my computer or the way yours is set up but may i suggest you change the font color to perhaps white? it is difficult to see the writing blue and purple together.
    Much love,Becky
