Pretty in Pink!

Hello everyone!

I hope you all are having a great weekend!

WoW, were has May gone,

time seams to fly,

the start of summer right around the corner

and another school year in the books.

Yes, your last day of school was Thursday

and we are officially living with a 

"Senior" now.   

How did this happen, I'm not sure,

seams like yesterday he started kindergarten 

and now we are looking at the last year of High School ,

bitter sweet and exciting at the same time!

And something else exciting happened the other day while

I was digging through my stamp-room,

I stumbled upon some stamped images.

Stamped them at a friends house a long time ago

and totally forgot I had them. 

 Love surprises like that, especially when in need of a Birthday card. 

 I'm very sorry, but I don't know what the stamp-set is called

since I do not own this one.

And speaking of being creative, 

I actually found some time to get my 

"Vintage Doily Mother's Day" 

cards done between all the Baseball games.

Antique doily is a Quic Kutz die cut.

 Leaves are cut from Stampin'Up! embosslits

"Sweetest Stem".

 I added a few butterflies and rhinestones for sparkle. 

Found the adorable burlap ribbon at Michaels,

thought it added a little shabby chic to the card.

Going Scarf Crazy!

Hello everyone,

I hope you all having a great weekend!

First I have to start with a big apology

for my infrequent posting

but if you look at the pictures below 

I think I have a pretty good excuse.

Baseball season is in full swing,

the team is doing great,

 so proud of the boys!

 How much better can it get

a great ball game and a

beautiful sunset!!!

 Life is good!!!

Since I been spending a lot of time on the road

and on bleachers lately card making came to a shrieking halt.

 But not to worry, there is my other addiction "Knitting",

my portable craft!

I love wearing scarves, even in the summer,

so what better opportunity to add a few more to my

extensive collection.

Pattern for "Sommerschal".

 The scarves been going everywhere with me,

the hubby drives I knit,

waiting for the game to start, yep, I knit!

You could say things gotten a little scarf crazy!!!

 Beautiful yellow yarn,

Mimosa by Yarn Bee.

 Unforgettable by Red Heart Boutique.

This yarn comes in beautiful colors,

this color is called Winery.

 Some of the scarves are knit with 

"I Love this Cotton!" from Hobby Lobby.

 I didn't quiet give up on stamping.

After I finished a few scarves I thought they needed 

a little something to finish them off.

A 2 inch band to hold them together did the trick.

Stamped with Stampin'Up! set "Hand Knit"

 Some of the finished scarves.

They will make great gifts for family, friends and yes a few more for me! 

Lots more opportunity's to knit, 

Baseball season isn't over to June ;)

Happy Early Easter!

Hello everyone!

I know Easter is still a week away

but since I'm a little behind in posting 

I wanted to wish you all an early 

"Happy Easter"

"Chicky" Easter card with you!

The yellow and white lacy label was cut with

the Cricut cartridge "Lacy Labels", "Beautiful" 2 3/4 inches.

 Punched flower.

 Love the beautiful spring colors in this card.

I'm so ready for spring to get here,

not much longer, our grass is already turning greener 

and my daffodils are blooming.

Ah, things are coming back alive.

Easter decoration on our front porch.

Feeling Green!

"Feeling Green"

Hello everyone,

so glad you stopped by on this snowy weekend!

 Yes, we received a fresh cover of snow,

so much so it stranded people on roads and interstates,

and closed businesses and schools,

very impressive for Kentucky in March!!!

Sure hope Mother Nature is done with

all this crazy weather and

we can move on to spring soon!

I guess with all this snowy stuff, I almost forgot 

that St. Patrick's Day is just a few days away,

but with a little scrambling I got the cards done

just in time to go in the mail by Monday!

It's a good Day to...

... hunker down and stay inside!

Hello everyone!

What a week, 

snow, ice, rain and -12 Brrr... degrees!

The only happy one in the family was our 

youngest son.

 Snow day, 4 to be exact.

He won't be looking so happy in the summer 

when he has to make all those days up.

After missing 3 days of  work

I was ready to brave the sub zero temps and 

slip and slide to work.

I made it and it

never felt so good to get out of the house!!!

The only good thing of not being able to go anywhere

was I got quiet a few things done.

Finally painted my laundry room and

I spent some quality time in my stamp room

to refurbish some of my card stash.

Here is one of the cards I made,

notice the bright yellow sunshiny colors,

wishful thinking on my side ;)

the monkey who is been hibernating in my knitting basket 

for the last year or so.

Well I made some head-waves.

Body, tail and arms are done.

Working on the ears right now

and have a muzzle to go.

Cricut machine as often as possible in my cards.

This years Valentines Card is no exception.

Almost the same...

 ... but a bit different.

All the hearts and the dove are punches.

 Letters and the cute little clown were cut with

Cricut cartridge "Victorian Romance".

Clown 3.5 inches, Love 1 inch.

 Could not decide which one I liked better..

... so I made a few of both to send to family and friends.
